Portal Gem vs. Scroll

I'm not sure how easy it would be to code, but I think many users would enjoy a check box to use the Portal gem instead of a scroll, perhaps with a programmable key, or it could be applied to the Skills tab within EB, in a way similar to "Is Aura". Just an idea

I cant deny that it would be nice, but im scared that the Portal gem will not work as good as portal scroll because of the cast time on Portal gem vs Portal scroll's cast time.
